(CLOSED) MU Parlour

Mu Parlour is the latest addition to Holland Village, which is home to many eateries. It caught our eyes as we were walking from Sushi Tei to the carpark after dinner one night. It looked pretty from where we were and the interior design did not disappoint when we finally visited it.

Brick walls and cement floors. Love it

From what seemed to be rustic and old, we emerged into a room that is very charming.

The elaborate play of three colours wormed its way into our hearts.
How can we not be captivated by this?

Burger selection.

MU parlour offers only burgers as mains

Hot chocolate- $3.50
This was pretty disappointing. I dislike Hershey's chocolate sauce and this tasted just like it.

Iced Cafe Latte - $6
The coffee was strong and fragrant.
X enjoyed his coffee!

Number 11 : Avocado, streaky bacon, MU secret sauce - $15
You can choose the type of cheese that you want!
I chose emmental cheese

The patty, accompanied by the interesting MU secret sauce was pretty tender and it was not tough to chew. The fries, topped with seasoning and a little minced meat, were quite good.

Number 1 : Monterey Jack, Streaky bacon, gherkin - $14
X felt that his burger was decent.
However, we both felt that the buns which tasted like the ones that Mcdonalds' serve were not very appetizing. Buns play an extremely crucial role in burgers and for a homemade gourmet burger, we expected more.

Toilet.

Perhaps many still do not know of this newly opened restaurant as it was empty that night. The place is beautiful and we enjoyed the ambience and music. Service was efficient and the staff asked us how the burgers were. However, we have to say that the food is not up to mark.

  1. Interesting pictures and comments. I was there too about 2pm yesterday (17th April 2012).

My partner ordered two double-expresso by mistake and they were kind enough to change that to Americanos.

For those who are new to Holland Village, its official web siote is at www.holland-village-singapore.com.

You can find details of all the shops there, parking and how to get there by buses.

    Cheers!

  2. The food was just average, and if were to compare macdonald and mu parlour, macdonalds doesnt just win by a margin but place was rather interesting still. Probably great for a relaxing nightout with your partner on a date. http://www.foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/03/mu-parlour.html
