NIXTA - Impressive New Mexican Restaurant on Amoy Street (They Have the Best Churros in Singapore!)

Taking over the spot that Ding Dong occupied for years is Nixta, a new upscale Mexican grill and Bar brought to you by the same folks behind the well-loved Blue Label Pizza. While the restaurant has been around for a couple of months, little has been spoken about them online, and they don't even have a geotag on Instagram! We discovered it a few months ago as it caught our eye as we were just strolling past. We browsed the menu then, and made a mental note to return some day. And here we were.

Mexican Flavours & Delicious Cocktails @ Lucha Loco, Super Loco Robertson Quay & Super Loco Customs House

photo Super Loco Customs House 2.jpg
The Loco Group's latest venture has taken root at Customs House. On top of a plethora of contemporary Mexican dishes, the restaurant boasts a panoramic view of Marina Bay and a lovely ambience. We embarked on a food trail that brought us to Duxton Hill, Robertson Quay and Customs House where we visited all three restaurants under The Loco Group.

Vatos Urban Tacos @ South Beach Quarter

photo vatos urban tacos south beach 4.jpg
The Ko-Mex chain has drawn alot of attention ever since it set foot on Beach Road. The place is dimly lit and seems to be a popular after-work hangout with the executives. Opened by three Korean Americans who grew up on authentic Mexican food and traditional Korean food, you can expect a clever fusion of the best of both Mexican and Korean cuisine here.

Baja Fresh Mexican Grill

Media Invite

Baja Fresh (pronounced as ba-ha fresh) prides itself in using only the freshest and best ingredients, and food is made to order and prepared on the spot. Their commitment and dedication to freshness is admirable. Their first outlet at Rendezvous Hotel is very popular and a second one is popping up soon at The Sail.
