Everyone knows that Penang is a foodie's paradise, but do you really know how much there is to eat? The three of us had 50 dishes in 50 hours, and we barely even scraped the tip of the iceberg! Apart from being a UNESCO heritage site, charming Georgetown is host to tons of awesome hawker stalls and cool cafes. I think that the location of Georgetown is impeccable, and will recommend that you stay in this area as well! It's easy to get around, and Grab rides are very affordable. Are you ready for a glimpse of what Penang has to offer?

I first visited the funky Artichoke back in 2010, the year that they made Sculpture Square their home. I fell in love with their meat candy, which I made multiple return trips for. Fast forward a couple of years, I still visit every now and then for brunch. Strangely, I've never been here for dinner. And I never knew how much I was missing out on until my recent dinner here, which was kind of mind-blowing to be honest. I guess there's a reason why this 9-year-old outfit by Chef Bjorn Shen is #stillnotdead.

Antoinette has long been a household name. Known for pretty and delicious desserts, and innovative and creative savoury dishes, the homegrown brand by Chef Pang is, no doubt, one of our nation's favourite spots for afternoon tea, or post-dinner indulgence. But do you know that their newest outlet at Millenia Walk sends out yummy breakfast delights too?

My best friend and I spent five days exploring Hokkaido. We were passing through Niseko and decided to visit Cafe If which sits in a quiet neighbourhood. It was one of the most memorable cafe visits of our one-month stay in Japan.

Helmed by Chef Julien Royer, Odette is a 3-year-old fine-dining restaurant that has been awarded 2 Michelin stars in just its first year of operations. Inspired by Chef Julien's grandmother, Odette, Odette has debuted on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants at 9th place — the highest new entry of all time. And the Best Restaurant in Singapore has also made Singapore proud by ranking 28th in The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2018. If you've been to Jaan, you'll know that Chef Julien is brilliant, and exceptional in his craft. Sending out contemporary French cuisine in a tastefully decorated space in National Gallery, Chef Julien works under the watchful eye of the world, and aims to deliver what one would expect from an esteemed dining destination that has 2 of the most precious and prestigious stars to its name.
I celebrated my birthday at Odette, and did I feel that the $931.01 bill for 2 people was worth it? Well, read on to find out.
