A collaboration between 40 Hands and 5 Senses, Common Man Coffee Roasters has taken Singapore by storm since its opening at Martin Road.

Iced Latte - $7.50

From their website, we inferred that the idea of this cafe is to serve up coffee for the common man. And we think that it's a really cool concept but the price does say otherwise haha. Despite a pretty hefty price tag for my coffee, I have to admit that the coffee is smooth and aromatic and I really liked it!

Croissant Croque Monsieur - $16

The croissant was crisp and fragrant and was a hit with the creamy bechamel sauce. The heavy taste of the Provolone cheese got too much for me after awhile though. It's a good twist to the classic croque monsieur and if you're a fan of croissant and ham and cheese, do give it a shot!

Organic Eggs Benedict + Avocado - $24  + $5

We couldn't help but love the perfectly runny dark orange yolks that burst out when we cut into them. Coupled with fragrant sourdough, tasty chive hollandaise and tender braised ox cheeks, this dish is a crowd-winner.

As expected with every popular cafe, Common Man is pretty noisy so it was difficult for us to really have a conversation. The service is really commendable, with friendly staff flashing warm smiles and very willing to help and serve. It made the dining experience at Common Man even better. Good service always leaves a deep impression!
