Mooncakes from Antoinette

Sponsored Post

We may have become so accustomed to mooncakes being associated with the Chinese culture and traditional ideas that we think that it's a little out of the ordinary to purchase mooncakes from a French patisserie. But I can't begin to tell you how much you're missing out on if you don't get your hands on these mooncakes! They are indeed out of the ordinary, they are extraordinary.

Antoinette has one of the most exquisite and prettiest mooncake boxes I've ever seen! And in these gorgeous boxes lie mooncakes that are inspired by the Chinese tradition and perfected with a French touch

The majestic hues and elegant design of the boxes make them an ideal and lavish gift.

My favourite is the dark chocolate mooncake! It's rich, not too sweet and I loved the crunch of the chocolate pearls. The flavours of the mooncakes are captured really well and they taste almost like their original ingredients. You could really taste the kaya or osmanthus without them being too heavy or overwhelming. You know how some mooncakes have this artificial taste? You won't find that in the mooncakes from Antoinette at all.

I was a little skeptical about the osmanthus one but its light floral fragrance is pretty enchanting and I must admit that it's really good! The snowskin mooncakes can last for 1.5 weeks if you keep them frozen. The dark chocolate and osmanthus are the most raved about flavours and they come in a pair each. Good things do indeed come in pairs!

Roasted Macadamia Nuts with Premium Low Sugar White Lotus Paste - $48
Taking into consideration how mooncakes get too sweet after a few bites, the mooncakes at Antoinette are thoughtfully handcrafted with a lower sugar content. On my first bite, I was like "wow, this really isn't sweet at all" However, on my second and subsequent bites, the mild sweetness kicked in and I really enjoyed the mooncake!

The mooncakes at Antoinette are supposed to be available until the end of September but due to an overwhelming response, they are almost sold out! So hurry and get a box while you still can! You will be impressed, like I was

Thank you Antoinette for the mooncakes!
