Coastes - New Flavours at Beachfront Restaurant in Sentosa

Coastes, situated along Siloso Beach, has rolled out a line-up of new dishes. From beach bites, to seafood, to pastas, each new dish is thoughtfully created to complement the laid-back vibes and breezy charm of the beachfront bar and restaurant. We popped by on a weekday evening for dinner, and the busy restaurant really does boast a good view of the sunset.

A concoction of coconut slices, coconut juice and calamansi, the Coconut Kumquat($10) is made for those who crave a refreshing mocktail.

The Chilli Crab Dip ($16) arrived looking a little odd. The shade of red is really dark and we all had our reservations about it. Thankfully, it tasted better than it looked and was quite a joy to tuck into with the toasted baguette that comes along with it.

Who doesn't love wings? Coated with a spicy barbecue sauce, these Spicy Wings($10/$16) are quite the ideal appetizer to start dinner with. They weren't overly spicy, which is perfect for me. For those who love chilli or spicy food, you will certainly find the wings too mild for your liking but you might just fall in love with the tender and juicy meat!

The Bourbon-Glazed Pork Ribs ($20/$30) see prime pork ribs dressed in a homemade maple and bourbon sauce. It's more on the sweet side so I quite like it but I thought that the ribs could have been more tender. This dish has won itself a loyal following and we heard that diners come back specially just for it!

For a party of 2, the Seafood Platter ($52) is created for hearty eaters. You can look forward to pan-fried crayfish, refreshing crab salad, fish stew, poached tiger prawns, chilli clams, calamari rings and baguette.

There are four dessert options available and the Salted Caramel Brownie ($14) is the one to go for. The brownie is really moist and I love that it has nuts in them. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, you won't go wrong if you pick this to round off your meal.

Coastes has a breakfast menu, and a variety of sandwiches and salads to choose from too. Food wise, there's definitely room for improvement. However, the ambience does make up for it.
