It so happened that on the very day that Qatar Airways Qsuite won the World's Best Business Class and World's Best Business Class Seat titles at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, I flew with them. It was my first time on Qatar Airways and I was very excited! Here's a quick review of the lounges and the business class product.
I was flying from London to Doha (QR106) to Singapore (QR944)
Check-in at Terminal 4 Zone A (Heathrow Airport)

I was welcomed at the reception desk where a staff took my luggage and another ushered me into the lounge to get my documents and boarding pass sorted. Despite it being fairly busy over there, everything was processed quickly, and I was soon on my way to the lounge. I was also alerted that the departure gate (24) was 20 minutes walk from the Qatar Airways lounge.
Qatar Airways Premium Lounge (20 minutes walk from gate 24)
There was a decent buffet selection with salads, some hot food, cheeses and dessert, and an a la carte menu which had quite enticing options.

The buffet selection includes options such as veal patties, potato gratin, Thai red prawn curry, chicken kabsa

The cream of mushroom soup with olive oil was decent, but the seared beef steak was quite tough and didn't taste very good. The tuna nigiri was pretty bad so I'll say skip that.
The best thing was definitely the afternoon tea set which held coronation chicken sandwich, smoked salmon cream cheese brioche, coffee profiterole, lemon meringue, and scone!
Shower Room
There wasn't quite enough space for bags etc, and amenity kits and dental kits have to be requested for. Guests can expect Diptyque amenities here. The water pressure and temperature were quite inconsistent, but good enough for a pre-flight quick shower.

655pm departure
Seat 6B

I had the entire overhead cabin to myself. Every seat has a sliding door for full privacy — the cabin crew will pop their heads over to see how you're doing from time to time. My seat was very quiet.
Before takeoff, the cabin went around giving out dates and Arabic coffee.

A few of the dishes are created in collaboration with Chef James Knappett who owns two-michelin-starred restaurant Kitchen Table in London.

Amuse bouche - smoked salmon with caviar, beef tataki with truffle ponzu sauce
Cornish crab salad. with warm apple soup(delicious), corn-fed chicken & clotted cream mash

Rhubarb choux bun, vanilla custard
I didn't finish my meal so I asked for snacks and dessert wine. Chocolates were then handed out to guests.
Asked for my bed to be made and it was done very quickly. The flight attendant slipped a mattress over the seat and also a pillow case onto one of the pillows. The seat was really comfortable and it could be adjusted to any degree of recline that you like, even when the table is out (this will require a little bit of trial and error to find the perfect recline to fit the table nicely). The flat bed was incredible! I slept very well, and I loved the velvet blankie.
Entertainment
The wifi onboard is supposedly the fastest in the sky — you can stream even your own movies on your own devices! Amazing. My neighbour was on a full-on call for 2 hours, which I thought was very impressive. I watched Good Fortune and Blue Eyed Girl
Transit at Hamad International Airport (Doha)
This was my first time here and I was surprised that we didn't alight via a jet bridge straight at the terminal. We alighted really far away from the terminal, and walked down the plane to a business class bus which then ferried us to the terminal. Upon research, I discovered that Qatar Airways use remote parking stands and bus transfers instead of jet bridges to maximise operational flexibility and handle massive aircraft volume.

The Al Mourjan Business Lounge just won the World's Best Business Class Lounge award at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards. This win marks the eighth time Qatar Airways has received this award.
I was really sleepy and despite following the signs, I missed the reception desk at the elevator leading up to the lounge, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the gigantic LV sign. Once I've exited the elevator onto the lounge level, I quickly realised that this lounge (79500 square feet) has to be the biggest one I've ever been to. It's incredibly huge, and there's just so much space. The whole lounge is basically split into the left and right side with the left hand side holding the main dining area, smoking rooms, gym and spa treatment rooms, and the right hand side holding more lounge seats, more relaxed lounge dining format, showers, and the quiet rooms. It's quite a walk from end to end, it's pretty insane.

I got to the main dining area at around 4 in the morning and that's the time that the kitchen closes (4am-5am). A small buffet line-up is still available and guests can expect hot options such as tom yum seafood soup, beef, stroganoff, lamb kabsa, pesto pasta etc. When 5am came around, I ordered an eggs benedict which was quite yummy!
Shower
More modern shower room with better water pressure, consistent water temperate, a better hairdryer and ample space for bags.
Quiet Room
Initially, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to visit the quiet room since there were only 24 rooms and the entire lounge can accommodate more than 700 passengers. I was in the queue and was informed that the cleaning for an available quiet room will be completed in about 15 minutes. Hence, I headed to the shower first.
The room is really quite spacious and it has a mini fridge and bottled water. You will be asked if you need a wake up call, and blanket at the reception, and the staff will usher you to the room and explain how to use the light settings etc. No food and drinks allowed here of course. The bed is not a flat bed, but still comfortable enough for a quick nap. I wasn't able to fall asleep on it but it was good to lie down for a bit. I'm not sure if there's a limit to how long you can stay here because I wasn't told there was a limit, but simply asked if I needed a wake up call.
Doha to Singapore (QR944 Airbus A350-900 Business Class Qsuite)
850am departure
I went through priority boarding onto the business class bus which ferried us to the plane.
Seat 2J
I picked seat 2J this time and it was quite a lot noisier and busier than 6B on my previous flight. My overhead cabin was shared with 2/3 other guests and the galley and toilet were very near, so there was a lot of movement around me. It wasn't a really big issue since I could just pull the sliding door close for privacy, but I could see my neighbours reaching over into the overhead cabin quite alot.
Once I was seated, a cabin crew named Daniel earnestly introduced himself and he was pretty attentive throughout the flight. I told him that I wanted to have my breakfast only about 5 hours later and he asked if he should wake me or if I would alert him, so I said that I would let him know.
Dates and Arabic coffee were offered to passengers before takeoff.
I was told to put on the crossbody seatbelt, on top of the one around your waist, which was really tight. I wasn't informed about this on the previous flight so I'm not sure if it's because the products on the two planes are different.

The wine list is largely the same as the one on my previous flight.

Love that they have a range of cold pressed juices and fresh orange juice available on this flight.
Crayfish cocktail with brioche, handrolled spinach omelette with chicken sausage.
Before the cabin crew took their seats for descent, Daniel and another cabin crew came over to thank me for flying with Qatar etc, which was pretty nice because this didn't happen on my previous flight. Service on this leg felt warmer than the previous leg for sure.
Toilet, Entertainment Console, Amentity Kits

The hardware felt more modern on the flight from Doha to Singapore. The entertainment console was more like a mobile phone than a gaming controller. The red amenity kit on the Doha to Singapore flight was also cuter (contents are the same)
All in all, I loved the seats, but kinda felt that the food could be better? But I would 100% still fly Qsuite again just because of how comfortable the seats are!
