Hokkaido Sushi(M Hotel) - Free Flow Fresh Sashimi and Sushi!
Singaporeans love Japanese buffets because we get to indulge in unlimited servings of sashimi. Over at Hokkaido Sushi, you can have limitless amount of sashimi too, except that the sashimi quality here is definitely top-notch. I've been to countless buffets, and I've had my fair share of sashimi and I can safely say that the quality and freshness of the sashimi at Hokkaido Sushi is second to none. With over 80 dishes on their Hokkaido Buffet Experience menu, I believe that you will be getting your money's worth here.
Every diner will receive this sashimi platter, on the house. If you know how rare and expensive Botan Ebi is, you'll know how much value you're getting here. Their fish and seafood are air-flown in direct from Tsukiji and Sapporo twice weekly.
One of the most raved about items is the PiTan Tofu.
Wagyu Beef with Mushrooms
I found the sushi selection pretty impressive! The sushi rice is made using organic high-grade Japanese Nanatsuboshi rice. It possesses a delightful sweet flavour and Hokkaido Sushi is one of just a handful of Japanese restaurants to use such premium rice in their cuisine.
While the sashimi and sushi are delectable and a huge reason why I would come back again, I felt that the rest of the items were just mediocre. That being said, I would still rate Hokkaido Sushi higher than other popular sushi buffets because of the wide variety and sheer quality of their sashimi.
