Tonkatsu by Ma Maison

Widely acclaimed as the best tonkatsu in Singapore, it has indeed taken me long enough to finally pop by for dinner. They don’t take reservations on weekends and so, I went early to tell the staff that I require a table for 9 at 7pm. Even though they don’t accept reservations, the server at the door tried his best to make the arrangement for us!

Kurobuta Pork - $33.80
The set comes with rice(white or multi-grain), miso soup, free flow salad, and dessert
This was the most popular item at Ma Maison, and there were only two sets left when five of us wanted it. Because I'm the only lady among the thorns who wanted this, the boys very kindly let me have it hahaha. The kurobuta pork was extremely tender and juicy and every bite was just pure goodness! I like how it was so very crispy and the batter was thin and easy to bite into. And even the miso soup was delish!

Ebi Katsu
The rest of the party had the ebi katsu. I tried a piece of it and I honestly never thought that fried prawns would taste this good! Also, the free flow of salad and availability of wafu sauce was gladly welcomed by all. It was evident as a couple of us went for second servings of the salad and also, our table wiped out two bottles of the yummy wafu sauce.. Haha

The meal ended with a honey infused jello which tasted bland at first but the sweetness of the honey hit after a few bites and its a very simple dessert thats quite a joy to dig into!

It was a very filling meal that everyone had only praises for! I'm so glad that everyone enjoyed dinner!
Oh, and a big thank you to the very nice server Mindy, who facilitated the cake-cutting!
