Stirling Highway

Taking over Haato at Ridgewood Close is Stirling Highway, a new brunch spot and cafe that's certainly worth a visit. Revamped and spanking new, this unpretentious establishment offers comforting and wholesome delights.

It was already past two when we got here and their brunch menu actually stops at 2pm but the chef was nice enough to still whip up two brunch items for us!

Iced Latte - $5.50
We both had a glass of iced latte each. Pretty decent coffee!

Stirling Brekkie Platter - $16
Breakfast essentials topped with a portobello mushroom! Simple but hearty!

Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict - $12.90
Close to perfect poached eggs with freshly made hollandaise on a soft thick toast that could have been more crisp in my opinion

Sticky Date Pudding
Possessing an almost flawless texture is this moist and sweet cake that is very simply speaking, a kickass finish to our meal. I especially liked the toffee sauce that the cake was drizzled in. This dessert isn't overly sweet and it's a definite must-try for sticky date pudding lovers! We heard that it has already gathered a loyal fan base!

The young owner of Stirling highway, Estelle, who is also the chef, found time to pop by our table for a little chat. She's really nice to talk to and she also told us a little bit about her hollandaise sauce which she makes on the spot whenever an order of Eggs Ben is received! Thanks for chatting with us Estelle!

I'll definitely visit Stirling Highway again! Will love to try their tarts and pulled pork pancakes which were already sold out when we got there!
