Summer Hill's wildly popular weekend brunch trolley, which switches up every quarter, has been going on for awhile now. And I'm proud to say that I've been to 5 editions of it!
Summer Hill designed every item on the table to be able to pair with every other so you can go back and forth through the dishes - just as if you were sitting on a linen blanket under the Mediterranean sun
I went to the previous edition of the Provencale Picnic and they have make some tweaks to the menu this year. Some of my favourites that they have kept would definitely be the Whipped Goats Cheese that I'm sure you will be wiping up every bit with the fragrant baguette, the Halibut Raito, Roast Pork Nicoise, and of course the Lavender Olive Oil Cake with whipped cream!
New highlights include the chick pea Panisse with spiced aioli (my first time trying this snack that's commonly paired with a glass of rose) and the super tender and flavourful Slow-braised Beef Stew with Camargue Rice Pilaf. So comforting and delicious.
Listen up for the bell as that signals the opening of the snow cone bar where guests can craft their own snow cones with a myriad of syrups, fruits and toppings. It's a fun activity that even the adults love. Chef-owner Anthony will then share a brief history of Provençale cuisine and the inspirations behind the Provencale Picnic Brunch Trolley.
Dessert time is always a good time at Summer Hill and this is no exception. The Lavender Olive Oil Cake will have your heart from the very first bite, and that huge dollop of freshly whipped cream was hardly enough! And, the homey peach galette was just what we needed to round off the satisfying feast.
As always, we had a fantastic time at Summer Hill and we will be back for the next brunch trolley!
Expect the brunch trolley ($79++/adult) to serve up all the dishes on the menu before you can order a second round of all your favourites. We will highly recommend that you opt for the free flow wines and prosecco package ($134++ in total/adult).
The Provencale Picnic weekend brunch trolley runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday till mid September
