Royal Pavilion at Park Regis has got to be one of the prettiest Chinese restaurants in Singapore! It's classy and elegant and I just really love the entire set-up and ambience! Read on to see what they have to offer this Chinese New Year!

Royal Prosperity Salmon Yusheng - $68 / $88
Usher in the new year with this tangy and zesty yusheng which comes with Canadian salmon, and noteworthily their homemade apple and plum sauce! Definitely one of the better yushengs I've had this Chinese New Year season

Royal Fried Lamb Shank - $48
A modern interpretation that retains much of its Cantonese flair with the presence of ingredients such as fermented beancurd, coriander and Chinese rock sugar. The presentation of this dish in a somewhat deconstructed style, on a sleek marble slab scored extra points with me

The lamb shank is served with thin handmade wraps. I've always had duck this way, but never lamb. Definitely an interesting way to wrap up and enjoy the lamb which had been prepared meticulously

Braised 4-Head South African Abalone in Superior Pumpkin Broth - $68
Oh this. Where do I start? A plump, juicy and sweet delicacy atop freshly made smooth beancurd in a collagen-rich pumpkin broth. Every bit of this was slowly savoured and maximally relished. Two more servings for me please!

Royal Smoked Duck
Voted as one of the top ten dishes of 2014, this was highly raved about and it certainly lived up to expectations! The paper thin skin was so crispy and the meat was so succulent and unbelievably juicy! I've always loved duck but this was taking it to another level. I stole more than my fair share, I'm sorry, but I just couldn't keep my hands off! This left such an impression I don't think I can ever look at duck the same way again. So good, you just gotta try it to know it

If you still haven't decided on a venue for your celebratory dinners this Chinese New Year, I'll really recommend Royal Pavilion. Amazing setting, fantastic food! Dishes are available for dine-in or takeaway from 9th February to 5th March. Do note that you'll have to place your orders in advance!
