The Slate - The Best Resort for Adventurous Holiday Goers & Sun Seekers in Phuket

The Slate Phuket adults only pool
Phuket, a paradise that sunseekers escape to, has never really been on my bucket list but I'm so glad I got to visit recently because I was attending a wedding there! While doing my research, I learnt that the entire island is filled with resorts and hotels, and proves to be a destination wildly popular with tourists. As I was browsing social media platforms, I was greeted with videos of bars with breathtaking views, happy visits to elephant sanctuaries, gorgeous accommodation options, fun island-hopping trips, and loads of local Thai food. Boy, was I excited.
With so many accommodation options available, it was real difficult to decide where to stay. For our 4-night trip, we decided to stay at 2 different places. For the first two nights, we picked The Slate because it was near the airport, and the sea, and we wanted to just relax in a very well-equipped resort. It turned out that we made an excellent choice — from the airport pick-up and welcome reception, to the room and spa service, everything was perfect.

AxiTrader Review 2023 - Dishonest Broker Using Erroneous External Price to Their Advantage

(UPDATED) 24 November 2023

I first contacted Axi(www.axi.com) via email on 14 November about the erroneous external price adjustments which happened on 13 November. Their promise is that they will "get back with a reply within maximum 24 hours". They did respond to me but with a reply that did not address my queries. I then replied them, and also called in, and also chatted with an agent via live chat. Live chat and call agent said they would get Prince, the agent who replied my email, to get back to me. I did not receive any replies or responses at all until I received an email on 23 November. That's definitely way more than 24 hours.

I had basically asked for my open trades to be reinstated or for a portion of my balance to be returned to me because had the error not occurred, my open trades even with a floating P/L of -$70000 would still be open, and the market had moved according to what I was waiting for (XAUUSD to go up) right after, and hence, I would have recovered a huge chunk of my equity (probably 50-60k by 17 Nov).

This is what they sent me : "We were also advised that we can no longer reinstate the trades, days after the adjustments have been made as significant market movement have already taken place after the CPI release."

WOW, of course, you took 8 days to reply me, AFTER the CPI release, and say this.

CAPASSO - Modern Italian Restaurant With Unique Pastas & Well-Executed Meats

Capasso italian restaurant singapore

CAPASSO is the new kid in the Telok Ayer/Amoy area which is already home to countless restaurants and bars. Helmed by Chef Fernando Arevalo, a familiar name in the local food scene, CAPASSO is a fearless and bold outfit that pushes out contemporary Italian dishes inspired by memories of Chef Fernando's granddad. The restaurant, which also boasts an extensive selection of wines, whiskies, and yummy cocktails, strives to provide an equal space where women can explore and enjoy whiskies alongside their male counterparts. I love that CAPASSO understands and values the tastes of ladies, and is here to smash the stereotype of whiskies being a drink more suited to the palate of men. Hurray to that!

The Ledbury - The Two-Michelin-Starred Restaurant in London Where I had My Best Meal of 2023

The Ledbury michelin starred restaurant london

Discerning Londoners with a penchant for the finer things in life will definitely have been to, or at least have heard of The Ledbury in Nottinghill. The brainchild of famous restaurateurs Brett Graham, Phil Howard and Nigel Platts-Martin have held on to the two-Michelin-star accolade for years before they shut their doors during the pandemic. They reopened to much fanfare, with tables booked up in a jiffy. I was in the UK for 7.5 months and I heard of The Ledbury from a friend who has been in the UK for 11 years. He told me he had the best meal of his life at The Ledbury back in 2015. I was really excited when I managed to get a reservation. Because I was dining alone, and plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants do not take lone diners, I was pretty certain that I wouldn't be able to give myself a birthday treat here. I decided to try my luck and I sent in an email to the team, and thankfully, they welcomed me with open arms!

Best Dog-Friendly Accommodation in Sicily!

ai tre mercati palermo sicily best dog friendly bed and breakfast

Sicily is one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been to. Even though I only had just over a week to spend here, and it was a mad rush visiting 4 different cities, I was really glad that I added it to my itinerary. Sicily is, no doubt, one of, if not the most dog-friendly places in Europe. Sure, Germany. France and Switzerland are incredibly dog-friendly but our four-legged babies aren't allowed in supermarkets. In Sicily, the supermarkets even have trolleys with a designated area for your pups to sit in. I was so amazed and impressed! I love that the people here love dogs! Here are the four dog-friendly hotels or bed and breakfast that we stayed at :

The Best Dog-Friendly Hotels & Airbnbs in More Than 50 Cities in Europe!

medousa bistrot suites taormina dog friendly hotel

Now, after you've booked those air tickets for you and your pup out of the country, it's time to start looking at accommodation options! Here's a list of dog-friendly hotels and airbnbs that we stayed at in Europe! The highlighted ones are really good, and the rest are at least, decent! We did not include the ones that we did not fancy, and we also want to take this opportunity to thank our friends who hosted us!

I would say that all hotels, except the ones in Greece and those under the Petit Palace group, charge a pet fee that ranges from 8 euros - 35 euros (sometimes per night, sometimes per stay). Airbnbs typically do not charge an extra fee for pets, but I do recall the airbnb in Bilbao charging us an additional 5 euros per day that we had to pay in cash.
