The Bak Kut Teh dazzled with a tantalising richness and captivating aroma and I am proud to say that I finished every drop of my soup despite usually staying off soupy stuff. It was easy on the palate and very addictive. Never really thought I would be saying this about soups but it was really yummy!

Having tried Chef Andy's Char Kway Tiao and Assam Laksa before, I was beyond ecstatic to have the opportunity to indulge in them again. The Char Kway Tiao was as good as I remembered it to be and the Assam Laksa seized my heart once more with its intense flavours and appetite-whetting sourness. So good!

The latest Plates of Pleasure that is centred around Penang street food also showcases a New Zealand "Silver Fern" Beef Tenderloin with Truffle Mash, which was quite a showstopper, and "Pure South" Free Range Rack of Lamb with Pumpkin Mash.

Dessert time! The dessert selection here has always been extensive and impressive. With a tall chocolate fountain to boot and one of the best Durian Crepes, I promise you that you'll be spoilt for choice.

Teochew Chendol
I felt that the chendol could use more coconut cream as it got really bland when the ice started to melt. Loved that it comes with a scoop of awesome durian paste!

Homemade Lemongrass Icecream and Gula Melaka Icecream
I remember the Lemongrass icecream very clearly because it surprised me when I first had it a couple of years ago. That subtle lemongrass flavour was so refreshing! So glad that its on the menu still. The Gula Melaka icecream was super delish too! You can pair them with crepes or piping hot goreng pisang if you like.

For those who crave an icy cold milo, calamansi juice or bandung to go with the sumptuous spread, the beverages are available at $6 nett per glass.
