Zafferano - New Dishes from Chef Emanuele Faggi

 photo zafferano cbd.jpg
Chef Emanuele Faggi is young, creative, and absolutely brilliant. The new head chef of Zafferano, a Tuscan native, has had stints at famous restaurants(including 2-Michelin-Starred Cracco Ristorante), before taking over the kitchen at Zafferano. Chef Faggi makes sure that only the freshest produce is incorporated in his dishes, and cleverly marries seasonal produce and authentic Tuscan flavours with contemporary touches. Chef also firmly believes in the reduction of food wastage, and ever since his arrival at Zafferano, the restaurant has seen a 70% reduction in food wastage. Amazing, isn't it? "How does Chef Faggi do it?" You might ask. Well, food discards are made into powder, seasoning, or used for plating! Intrigued? You need to try his new additions to the menu then!

Hooked@Edge - The Best Seafood Buffet Dinner in Town Just Keeps Getting Better

 photo best buffet dinner singapore.jpg
I rave about Edge all the time. Whenever anyone asks for a buffet recommendation, Edge is the first answer that pops out of my mouth. If you haven't been to Edge, you really really should! And there's no better time than now, because Edge has just revamped their spread with spanking new additions! Look forward to an enhanced selection of seafood, a daily double-boiled soup counter, and a cendol and teh tarik live station, on top of an incredibly wide variety and numerous live counters. I have no doubt that you'll be dazzled by the selection that you have no idea where to start. Well, I usually go for the fresh seafood on ice and sashimi first!

Morton's Steakhouse Singapore - An All New Sunday Lunch Menu

photo Mortons Sunday Lunch Steak.jpg
My favourite steakhouse has spiced up their Sunday Lunch Menu with tantalising new additions that will charm your socks off. Apart from the droolworthy selection of Morton's specialties and prime steaks, Morton's has kept their value-for-money three-course lunch set which goes for $98++.

Exciting new dishes include Short Rib Tacos and Beef Tenderloin Sandwiches. Morton's also pays homage to the all-time favourite BLT, with their rendition of Crab Cake BLT. Morton's might be known for their steak, but they are quite the master when it comes to seafood too. I tried their Honey-Balsamic Glazed Salmon Fillet before, and was utterly mesmerized.

Hai Tien Lo - Luxurious Weekday Dimsum Lunch Buffet

photo Hai Tien Lo Dimsum Buffet 8.jpg
It's no secret that I love Pan Pacific Singapore. From Edge, which I believe has the best buffet spread in Singapore, to Pacific Marketplace, which has some of the most refined and unique entremets, to Atrium, where diners can dive into a beautiful selection of high tea delights, to the highly acclaimed Hai Tien Lo which consistently delivers delicious Cantonese fare with a modern twist, Pan Pacific is truly a food haven. Recently, Hai Tien Lo refreshed their dim sum buffet and there's so much to look forward to — a hot soup, unlimited servings of dim sum, 3 choices of Hai Tien Lo specialty dishes, 2 choices of dessert and a bowl of Chilled Homemade Bean Curd with Bird's Nest.

The Bar at Morton's - Best Happy Hour Deal in Singapore! Free Steak Sandwiches!

photo The Bar at Mortons 6.jpg
Morton's is a renowned steakhouse that does an incredibly mean steak. The portions are huge, the food is delicious, prices are reasonable, the ambience is lovely, and the service is impeccable — what's not to love? While their centre-cut ribeye and centre-cut filet mignon are the undeniable stars, their mortinis are equally outstanding. Morton's is more than generous with the amount of gin or vodka that they pour into your mortini glass. 3 ounces, nothing less, is a promise that they've upheld for ages, and the very reason why people keep coming back for them.

MORtini night, which runs daily, is undeniably a huge hit. It is essentially the bar's happy hour. The bar is always packed from 5pm-7pm every evening, and if you haven't been, you really should! Grab a signature mortini (Cosmopolitan, Appletini, Chocolate Mortini, Lycheetini) at just $15.95, and enjoy complimentary steak sandwiches! The Singapore outlet is the only outlet in the whole world that still sends out free steak sandwiches! If this is not the hottest, and the best happy hour deal in Singapore, I don't know what is. $15.95 for a REAL cocktail served in a legit martini glass, with 3 ounces of gin/vodka is a steal enough. But Morton's still wants to spoil you with filet mignon sandwiches. Oh my, how do I stop loving you, Morton's?

The five-star property has the best buffet restaurant, Edge, a cozy Atrium where high tea sets and cocktails can be enjoyed, a marketplace where you can get your hands on freshly made pastries and goodies, and the amazing Hai Tien Lo which dishes out phenomenal Chinese cuisine. Beach Road Kitchen - Crazy Buffet Spread & Luxurious Tomahawk Steak!

photo Beach Road Kitchen South Beach 19.jpg
The JW Marriott Singapore South Beach introduces Beach Road Kitchen, an all-day dining destination. The 247-seater is one of nine dining establishments under the luxury hotel. The gorgeous restaurant will definitely catch your eye even if you're just walking past. It's a short walk away from the main hotel building, and sits pretty in South Beach Avenue. I went to Beach Road Kitchen really full, and didn't think that I was gonna eat much but the impressive spread left me no choice but to stuff myself silly.

Yàn Cantonese Cuisine Celebrates the Year of the Fire Rooster

photo Yan Cantonese Cuisine CNY 2017 1.jpg
Almost every restaurant in Singapore has a Chinese New Year menu, or their very own renditions of yusheng and it might be challenging to decide on a restaurant to have reunion dinner at. My family usually sticks to the same old restaurants that we trust and love. I'm not sure about you but maybe you will like to give the one year old Yàn at National Gallery a shot this lunar new year.

photo Mortons Steakhouse Mandarin Oriental Fall Menu 6.jpg
An all-new seasonal menu has been rolled out at Morton's of Chicago to welcome fall. Located on the fourth level of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Morton's is undoubtedly one of the most, if not the most, popular steakhouses in Singapore. Known for top quality steaks and exceptional service, Morton's proves to be consistent in both food and service as my second visit to the well-loved steakhouse was nothing short of amazing too.

The all-day restaurant, patisserie and gourmet grocer does not use preservatives at all and everything is made from scratch in-house. Diners can look forward to a meal that is both healthy and tasty.
