Revelry @ Lorong Kilat
We popped by this bright and colourful space for dessert after our brunch at Rise & Grind. Five of us shared two dessert waffles
Latte - $5
Pretty good cuppa with slightly acidic notes
Fly Me to Mars - $15
Revelry prides itself in serving up Belgium waffles that are different from those present in the local cafe scene. Instead of a dense, crisp and fluffy one that we are accustomed to, the ones at Revelry are light and airy. They want their waffles to complement the heavier items such as fried chicken. Unfortunately, the waffles didn't quite cut it for us. It was also on the dry side because there wasn't much sauce and the stickiness from the marshmallows and mars bars leaves a dry and sticky feeling in your mouth
On Cloud Nine- $15
This is a fancy one decorated with blue cotton candy and paired with lemon curd. An interesting combination that I felt didn't quite go together. I adored the lemon curd, but it didn't fare very well with the rest of the ingredients.
I'm sure there are alot of people who love the light and airy waffles served at Revelry. We didn't, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't! Their fried chicken waffles looks pretty awesome. Might come back to try their tom yum pasta!
