Whale & Cloud
Up bright and early on a Saturday morning, we made our way to a cosy cafe that cannot be better hidden. Sitting quietly in the back alley, you're right where you're headed when you come across a striking blue door, and an eye catching "OPEN" and 48 3/4 on a white wall. Knock gently and your wish to enter will be granted.

Plain Vanilla Bakery
Plain Vanilla is the place I go to for my fix of salted caramel cupcakes. I'm not a fan of cupcakes but I can't resist the salted caramel cupcake from PV! Definitely the best in Singapore, in my humble opinion! I was really excited to finally be able to check out PV Bakery after our tasting session at 40 Hands!

40 Hands
Media Invite
40 Hands is one of the pioneers of the cafe culture in Singapore. Back when Tiong Bahru was still a sleepy estate, 40 Hands was already drawing huge crowds all the time. I remember visiting it back in 2011 and falling in love with their tau sar pau, when I don't even eat red beans! 40 Hands has come a long way since and has recently undergone a facelift!

9 Pretty Cafes in Taipei that You Will Love
This is almost a year late but better late than never right! Haha. X and I went to Taipei last summer right after we got back from Europe. We almost didn't have time to pack and were somewhat jetlagged haha. But anyway, we were there for two weeks and we went to quite a number of cafes and eateries worth mentioning(will be coming up in another post) and it was a really fruitful holiday!
Here's sharing with you 9 of the cafes that we adore
My camera died on the trip so a part of our holiday wasn't documented unfortunately.
But nonetheless, here you go!

(CLOSED)Treasures of The Sea @ Plaza Brasserie
Media Invite
From now till 30th April, Plaza Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Beach Road presents Treasures of The Sea, a sumptuous dinner buffet spread that will surprise you with its generous and unique selection
How does digging into four different variations of the Norwegian salmon sound? Think baked salmon with herbs, grilled salmon topped with Asian Sambal Chilli, a beautifully sea-salt crusted salmon and a Salmon Wellington wrapped up in a puff pastry.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg!

The Pantry @ Shop Wonderland
Shop Wonderland is just one of the many cafes along Haji Lane but you can be assured that it's the prettiest and most unique one! When I chanced upon it about two months ago, I just stood in the cafe in amazement hahaha. But because it was a Sunday and the place was packed, I didn't get to try anything.
This time we went there on a weekday and we were the only ones around yay!

Lola's Cafe
Made it for brunch this time round at Lola's! Their brunch menu ends at 3pm and we barely made it by reaching there at 250 haha. A friday afternoon it was and the cafe was incredibly packed. We scored the last available table for a group of three outdoors and as much as it was scorching hot and I think I was sunburned in the process of dining there, we sure had an enjoyable meal!

Tonkatsu by Ma Maison
Widely acclaimed as the best tonkatsu in Singapore, it has indeed taken me long enough to finally pop by for dinner. They don’t take reservations on weekends and so, I went early to tell the staff that I require a table for 9 at 7pm. Even though they don’t accept reservations, the server at the door tried his best to make the arrangement for us!
